about

In the rule of St. Benedict, you will find the following advice (meant for those entering the monastic life): “Remember to keep death before your eyes daily”. This gets right to the heart of the spiritual life. We are temporary, our lives are passing, these bodies will fail us. Letting go IS the spiritual life. Death is the ultimate moment of letting go, something to practice for, prepare for, but not to fear.
